Rebecca + Mark :: Engagement Photography :: Lakeside Park

Rebecca and Mark met in 2005 when they both started High School together at Durham Christian High School. Sparks didn’t fly until after they attended their Grade 12 prom together as friends – and Rebecca realized that Mark was a true gentleman.

Shortly after they started dating, Rebecca moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to start her first year of four years of college. Their relationship has been almost entirely long-distance since then.

We asked them what they loved most about each other:

Mark – I love that Rebecca is so much fun to be around and brightens up any day. I love that Rebecca is genuinely caring, she puts other people before herself. I also think that Rebecca is the most beautiful person I have ever set eyes on.

Rebecca – I love that Mark is such a hardworking guy, he will always finish a job no matter how long it takes. I love that he loves spending time with kids, he is so great with his niece and nephews! I also love Mark’s sense of humour, he laughs at my jokes and can easily put a smile on my face.

Mark owns a farm with 100 acres of crop land and 20 veal calves. This is where they will call home after the wedding.

We asked them when they knew they were meant for each other:

Mark – I knew Rebecca was the person I would spend the rest of my life with by the time our first summer together had come to an end because she has all of the qualities that I’m looking for in a wife.

Rebecca – I knew Mark was the person I would spend the rest of my life with after we had gotten through the first year of long distance. I knew that if we could make it work being so far apart from each other that nothing could ever tear us apart.

Guys…your Wedding sounds amazing and we can wait to be part of it! See you both next year!
