Camille and Rob had mutual friends in University so had seen each other around for about two years before actually connecting.
We asked them how they connected:
Rob: We met in a course that we took together, called Signal Processing. Camille was sending me mixed signals to process so I gave her my email address and we started chatting on MSN Messenger. Pretty soon it became apparent that she did not need my (intellectual) help but I kept talking to her anyway.
Camille: In third year when we had to choose our majors I decided to expand my social circles a bit. Rob was a friend of a friend and he was in the same major so I decided to get to know him better. Under the guise of needing help in our Signal Processing course, I introduced myself and we exchanged contact information.
Together, they enjoy watching TV shows…everything from Modern Family and The Office to Dexter and The Walking Dead. Trying new adventure activities like ziplining, riding ATVs, parasailing, horseback riding, rock climbing, jet skiing
Travellling to new places.
They got engaged on a trip to Hawaii.
Rob has 2 online start up companies, with more in the works…
Camille emigrated from Jamaica with her family almost 10 years ago but hasn’t been back since. Recently, she won a trip to Jamaica by writing a poem celebrating Jamaica’s 50th year of independence.
We asked them what they thought would be unique about their wedding:
“One of less than a handful of Jamaican‑Armenian weddings in the world…we think. Also, we want our wedding to be a celebration of marriage – our wedding day falls between our parents’ wedding anniversaries and we want to celebrate the legacy of love that they have passed onto us.”
See you guys at your Wedding in August, 2013!
