Have you heard the amazing story of the diamond in Laura’s Engagement Ring? If not, you can read it here.
The wedding day began with Laura getting ready at her parent’s home. A few quick photos of the Wedding dress, the shoes and the flowers and it was off to Cullen Gardens in Whitby for the First Look, family formals, and bridal party photos.
The wedding ceremony at Deer Creek Golf and Country Club in Ajax was a beautiful event with everyone being bathed in warm sunshine. We really couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day!
The officiant was Mike’s father and he kept everyone entertained with childhood stories of Mike growing up and of the importance of patience, understanding, and commitment in a marriage. It’s not very often that the Groom’s father officiates the wedding so we were honored to be part of something so special.
The decor at the reception included hand-folded Japanese paper cranes – a nod to Laura’s heritage on her mother’s side of the family.
The speeches reminisced about their earlier lives, their love for one another, and toasts and blessings upon their marriage. There were hearty laughs, lots of giggles and happy tears.
