“The Force is strong with this one!” There’s a story behind the opening image. When Michael and the guys were getting ready, he disappeared into his bedroom and came out again wearing a Darth Vader mask and brandishing a lightsabre. “You have to bring that!!”, I said, much to the amusement of the groomsmen. “Are you serious?”, said Michael, thinking I was joking. “Oh yeah, we’re definitely going to use that tonight!”.

The wedding ceremony was at St. Andrew Kim Catholic Church in North York. A beautiful church with a predominantly Korean congregation.

We headed to Destiny Banquet Hall in Woodbridge for the reception. One of the highlights was a Korean Ceremony where Wendy and Michael donned traditional Korean attire. Family members were served tea and imparted words of wisdom on the couple. They then took turns tossing chestnuts and dates – which the couple attempted to catch in the Bride’s shawl. The chestnuts represent male children and the dates represent female children. When the ceremony ended, they had caught over 40 dates and chestnuts! Time to break out the Barry White…

The night was filled will laughter and happy tears. Michael’s rendition of Gangnam Style outdid the original!….and yes, the lightsabre was a hit!

Amanda Seyfried and Seann William Scott (aka Stiffler from American Pie) are getting married! Ok, not really…but Joanne and Adam bear a striking resemblance…at least we think so!

The celebrations began at The Manor in Kettleby with Joanne and the girls getting ready. We did a First Look where they saw each other for the first time all dressed in their Wedding attire, followed by the family formals and some fun photos with the wedding party.

The reception was filled with laughs and giggles with the highlight being Joanne and Adam’s first dance…they received almost a perfect score – one of the judges may have held his score card upside down (he redeemed himself after realizing his mistake!).

We took them outside at the end of the evening to brave sub zero temperatures. We think the trop was worth it!

What an amazing Wedding Season!

In 2012 we were blessed with happy, fun couples across many different cultures and backgrounds. We got to witness Christian Weddings, Jewish Weddings, Hindu Weddings, Muslim Weddings, Civil Weddings, and everything in between.

We get emotional during the ceremony and cry during the speeches. We love love and love capturing the emotions that weddings bring. We love witnessing the birth of new families and the promises of new lives begun together.

Yea. We love what we do and wouldn’t have it any other way.
