Rebecca & Mark :: Wedding Photography :: Woodville Farm Wedding

“The reception is in our barn”, said Rebecca. I paused for a moment, imagining sheep, cows, ducks, and perhaps three wise men with gifts huddled off in a corner somewhere. I thought to myself, “I’ve never shot an event in a barn before…maybe it won’t be so bad”.

Within minutes of arriving on their farm, I knew this wedding would be nothing short of magical! Not only was the barn above and beyond anything I had expected, it was decorated in a style that was both elegant and vintage – and suited Rebecca and Mark perfectly.

The outdoor ceremony was held on a field at the bottom of an embankment. Bales of hay served as seating for friends and family alike. Fluffy, white clouds adorned the sky as Rebecca’s dad walked her down the aisle to warm smiles and a few teary eyes.

Rings were exchanged, blessings were said, documents were signed, a tree was planted…and a beautiful bride was kissed by her new husband. A new family was born and we counted ourselves lucky to witness such a occasion.

One might expect country wisdom to be imparted during a reception in a barn, on a farm. One would not be disappointed.

By the end of the speeches, I was convinced that I needed a tractor. I wasn’t sure why, I just knew I needed one!

Only one question remained…John Deere, Massey Ferguson, or Kubota?

    Beautiful Work,
I’m Planning my own wedding for 2015 and I would love to know where this barn location is in Woodville…

Thanks Patricia. The entire wedding took place on the couples’ farm. The reception was in an actual barn and not a public venue.
